In July 2018, Jerry Williams played at Melomania, Cambridge Audio's dedicated event space, as part of Richer Unsigned's monthly sessions. Before her performance, where we were treated to a rendition of her new single, 'Left & Right', we sat down to film the above interview.
Hailing from Portsmouth, Jerry has steadily been building her career over the last 10 years. First picking up a guitar when she was 12, she played her first gig a few years later, releasing her debut EP, A Hairdressers Called Sids, in 2014 when she was 17. Now 22, she's sold out venues in her home town and received support from the likes of BBC Radio 1.
Originally trained as a classical guitarist, Jerry's music today veers closer to pop, with influence from artists like Slow Club, who she lists as an inspiration, readily apparent. With an incredible voice and a dynamic playing style, Jerry oozes confidence on stage. We'll update this post with a link to her performance when it's available. For now, enjoy her latest single...
